Discover how Alexander Wielohorski used Breakthrough to drive 12% growth at Alaska’s largest privately owned PT practice, and why he says he can attribute “every single growth percentage” to the partnership.
Rebuilding After COVID
Alexander Wielohorski is the COO of Advanced Physical Therapy in Alaska. With seven locations and around 6,000 patient visits per month, it’s the largest privately owned physical therapy practice in the state. The practice has been in operation for 25 years.
Then COVID hit. Providers left. Patient volume dropped. The practice needed to rebuild.
“After COVID, we lost a lot of providers and patients dropped a lot, so we really needed to ramp this up,” Alexander said. “As we were able to get staff, which was the biggest issue, we wanted to keep them full.”
The team took the disruption as an opportunity to rethink everything.
“We pretty much took that opportunity to stop everything we were doing and rethink what our strategy was gonna be moving forward.”
They went all in with Breakthrough: workshops, Meta ads, past patient reactivations. Marketing became the first priority.
Growth They Can Measure
The results have been clear. Advanced Physical Therapy has seen 8% year-over-year growth, with last year jumping to 12%. And Alexander knows exactly where it’s coming from.
“The only marketing we do, aside from our website and SEO, is through Breakthrough. So I can attribute every single growth percentage to working with you guys.”
That growth came directly from filling capacity. As the practice hired new staff, Breakthrough kept those schedules full.
“That growth came directly tied to the amount of patients we can bring in to go back to using the full capacity of our locations.”
Efficiency That Frees Up Time
For Alexander, the biggest benefit isn’t just patient volume. It’s the time he gets back.
“The biggest benefit has been that efficiency. Continuous efficiency to be able to achieve our goals without that much effort.”
Before, his team spent around 90 minutes every day on the Breakthrough platform doing follow-ups. With the AI tools handling first contact, that’s been cut in half.
“That first contact has been the key, to be able to respond immediately, especially after hours. That was the biggest loss that we had.”
Now patients go straight to appointment without staff involvement. The team just sees a booking and makes the confirmation call.
The confidence that comes from a consistent system has changed how Alexander operates.
“I’m super confident. This gives me time to focus on other initiatives and solve problems within the clinic, now that my focus doesn’t have to be 100% on marketing and clinic growth.”
He’s not hoping for good responses anymore. He has a system that delivers them.
“I’m happy that I have a system that allows me to do that consistently. Not just on peaks during the year, and not just individual campaigns where you hope for a good response. Something that is structured and planned.”
